Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Ethiopian Calendar app for iPhone, iPad and Android and the website ethiopiancalendar.app (together, the "Service"), provided by Ethiopian Calendar ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, to misuse it, or to interfere with the servers and services it relies on. If you install the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard license agreement (EULA) also applies to you.

Ads and Pro

The app is free to download and shows ads. Calendar Pro is an optional, one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks extra features. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

• Payment is handled by Apple or Google Play. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency.
• Pro is tied to the Apple ID or Google account that bought it. You can bring it back on a new device with Restore purchase, found under Calendar Pro in the menu.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• Features included in Pro may change over time as the app evolves.

Dates, holidays and other content

We work hard to keep dates, conversions and holiday listings accurate, but we cannot promise they are error free. Some religious holidays, including Islamic holidays, depend on moon sightings or local announcements and can differ by a day from what the app shows. Please confirm dates with the relevant authority before relying on them for legal, financial, travel or religious purposes.

News headlines, football scores, weather forecasts and other content come from third parties. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

Your content

Events, notes and other items you create in the app are yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important.

Our rights

The app, its design, code, text and artwork belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms do not give you any ownership of them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes and ending use

We may update the app, these terms or the Service from time to time. If we change the terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app.
